Jason was born Feb. 5, 1981 and is a proud husband to his beautiful wife, Patricia. He is the father of 10 children; Jasmine, Daisy, David, Daniel, Lilyan, Isabelle, Dalton, Violet, Victor and Augustus (Gus) Cody. He enjoys studying the Scriptures, teaching; hunting with his kids, dad and brothers; bowling, malting and hanging out with his family.

Jason earned his Associates of Science degree in Biblical Studies from Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science in Religion with an emphasis in Biblical Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He currently holds his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is an ordained minister and continues to enjoy teaching Bible studies and preaching.

Jason has experience serving as an Chaplain Intern at St. Mary's Hospice in Knoxville, TN and as a field worker at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He also served his vicarage at Grace Lutheran Church in Lamar, Colorado. Along with having the opportunity to serve at Trinity Lutheran Church, he also continues to help with the family business, Colorado Malting Company, serving as the Corporate President.

Jason's passion is the Gospel of Jesus. Having grown up outside the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Jason speaks of how he was only taught how he was supposed to live correctly according to God's Word. He says, "I always mistakenly thought that I had to connect myself to God by my own "good deeds” and this kept me feeling very guilty and thinking I was distant from God". Jason often speaks of how he didn't realize that Jesus had done 100% of the work for his and everyone's salvation. He adds, “If Jesus has done it, then it is finished and done, its not up to me or anyone else. What an amazing gift God has given us!”

"By grace you have been saved through faith not of works lest anyone should boast it is the gift of God" (Ephesians. 2:8-9)
